You’re absolutely right — you will notice “hang up” on the sides of your candle during the first few burns. That’s actually by design! I use a cooler-burning wick so your glass doesn’t get hot and your fragrance oils don’t burn off too quickly. This means the wax will not hit the edges right away. Around the halfway point the heat builds up and the additional heat inside the glass melts everything evenly — no wasted wax. That's how my candles will burn for up to 70 hours.

I actually made a quick video to show exactly how this works so you can see the candle catch up with itself as it burns.
